Sydney Embers, the Times reporter assigned to cover the Bernie Sanders campaign, is a former analyst for BlackRock, the largest investor in coal plant developers in the world. Originally hired as an expert in advertising and marketing, she was reassigned in May of 2018 to cover politics and soon was assigned to cover the 2020 campaign of Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (sometimes sharing authorship of articles with other NYT reporters). Ms. Embers routinely failed to offer information about quoted sources -- even when their previous affiliations and statements strongly suggested anti-Sanders bias. Climate Change is a reality. ACTION to stop man-made carbon dioxide is an EMERGENCY and the timeline is MOST URGENT now. Deniers are operating in the interests of fossil-carbon-based industries. Fixing the man-made contributions of carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere is far more URGENT than politicians and multi-national corporations realize. The deniers scoff at the conclusions of The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the guidelines they provided in 2006. The IPCC was founded in 1988. It took 18 years just to produce agreed-upon guidelines acceptable to all the nations that were part of the IPCC. Even with the massive effort needed to transform the American (and the rest of the world's) economy to a wholly renewable, sustainable carbon-neutral fuel system with best efforts and total support from government and corporate policies, even with enthusiasm and all haste in supporting the efforts it will take several years to accomplish this kind of change. Setting timeline goals of 2030 and 2050 is no guarantee that these measures will be effective enough to avoid billions (yes, billions!) of deaths as a result of Climate Change. Some scientists even claim that we may reach a point, very soon, that the effects of Climate Change will accelerate, feeding on the current effects themselves to continue in a self-sustaining way. We have arrived at a point that politicians have noticed that Climate Change requires attention. We need to make them (and corporate CEOs) aware just how URGENT an EMERGENCY this is, and to take massive and IMMEDIATE action to address this global problem. This is no time to spend another 18 years of debate to produce nothing but more guidelines. As one politician has said, we need to put ourselves, "On a war footing" as we did in gearing up for WWII. The USA reacted with fast-paced and transformative changes. We need immediate results on that scale and we need it NOW. Despite critticism of the cost, there is also huge economic opportunity in this transition. There is no one to fight here, no bombs or guns can defeat it. It cannot be condensed into the single face of an enemy but it is the world's problem, and we must unite to defeat this common foe. We must hold our politicians and corporate leaders responsible to take IMMEDIATE and MASSIVE WORLDWIDE ACTION to create worldwide infrastructure in support of sustainable, renewable fuel that does not put fossil carbon into an atmosphere already overloaded with climate changing elements. One of the fragments of the attempts to wreck the Federal Government is the separation of powers by the no-government Republicans and supine Democrats. You, along with Bernie Sanders, Ayanna Pressley, and other progressive congressmembers, are our only hope of turning this around and restoring responsive, honorable governance. Every two years, the California Democratic Party (CDP) holds state-wide elections in a process called Assembly District Election Meetings (ADEMs). These are important Democratic Party elections where 1/3 of all delegates are elected to two-year terms to conduct the business of the CDP. There is no vote by mail or proxy voting in these elections. Debra Broner, regional director of our assembly district (AD 02), has decided to eliminate the physical election site available for the rural voters of Northern California. She has designated only one polling station - Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County - at the farthest southern edge of this vast district! However, more than 50% of registered Democrats in AD 02 live outside that county. We are asking for your help to reverse this decision. This is a significant part of the Democratic Party structure and we are being disenfranchised from participating. We can't expect our people to take one or two days off of work to drive down, vote, then drive back. We have secured the same location as prior ADEM elections. We also have enough local Democrats willing to volunteer to run the entire election. We are making this as easy as possible so that we don’t risk our lives driving needlessly down to Santa Rosa for one election. "The Republican playbook is voter suppression,” says DNC Chair Tom Perez. We read about voter disenfranchisement in the national headlines and yet now we have it here in our own rural backyards! At the same time, our California Democratic bylaws, Article VI, Section 1(a)(5) “Assembly Districts and Assembly District Meetings” specifically allow multiple meeting sites for “good cause” including “the necessity of travelling very long distances” and “traveling in hazardous weather conditions.” Northern AD-02 definitely meets these conditions especially in the wintertime. If the site is not approved, rural Democratic voters of Northern California will, in effect, be disenfranchised by their own political party!

We believe that Congress can enact bills or amendments that pertain to presidential nominative reforms and presidential electoral reforms without requiring any changes in any political parties' rules. These bills or amendments help anyone who wishes to demonstrate his or her independence from the Democratic Party and other political parties and wishes to run for president of the United States like U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. If the bills or amendments are in effect, Senator Sanders would not have to simply use the Democratic Party as a vehicle for removing any Democratic presidential nominee from a presidential general election and running for president of the United States. Would you mind either including the presidential nominative reforms and the presidential electoral reforms in bills or amendments or introducing these bills or amendments in Congress, please? The Northeast Democratic Party has a reputation of being corrupt. We have to start somewhere.

He said on the popular morning show Good Morning America that he fights “very hard to pay as little tax as possible.” His claim to wealth has also been called into question.The best way for this refusal to hurt his campaign is to get news outlets to cover the issue. Urge multiple highly popular news companies to step up their game and start seriously pressuring Donald Trump to release his tax returns.Trump is never going to release his tax returns unless there are consequences for not doing so. You have a responsibility to keep important political candidates like this honest. We demand that you start adequately covering Trump’s failure to release his returns and continue putting on the pressure until he does so. The future of the entire nation is at stake.

Trump will not release his tax returns. Trump refuses to divest himself of his vast business interests. That creates obvious conflicts of interest, especially when it come to overseas matters. That is forbidden under Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution and is grounds for impeachment. Trump should not be allowed to enrich himself and his family through sweetheart deals. Need I say more?

Climate Change is our most urgent common problem and legislators are not responsive to "we, the people" because of fossil fuel money! I wrote my SunTrust and asked them to live up to their name. Sierra Club offers a Green Visa and Environmental Defense Fund has Bank of America MasterCard, but big banks need to do more! Think Fox/O'Reilly when customers boycotted their products to get fast results!

Politicians are rarely scientists, engineers or mathematicians. These areas progress, change and discover new things pretty much daily and are advancing in complexity. The President of the United States can impact the world today and for decades to come with decisions that they may not fully understand how these impacts will be felt. They need a STEM cabinet position to help them understand, no matter what their political party affiliation.

With a privately-run, non-transparent, computer-driven voting landscape now fully deployed, we are incredibly vulnerable to malfeasance yet this reality is glaringly absent from our national dialogue! Election integrity experts are virtually unanimous in questioning the inexplicable results of our last three elections, finding highly troubling inconsistencies that do not reflect exit poll outcomes. Our own State Dept. has set up exit poll programs worldwide to detect corruption in foreign elections yet in spite of legions of red flags we readily discount their value here. It is crucial that we demand answers without which all our courageous efforts are totally futile!
