Petition Text
Please sign this petition and then contact Lori Townsend, the News Director for the Alaska Public Radio Network (APRN), and APRN's board and tell them that War Resister candidate Rob Mulford should be included in their November 3rd Senatorial debate.
Why is this important?
Rob Mulford is the only candidate for United States Senator from Alaska who is challenging imperialism, the military industrial complex, and their undemocratic destructive influence in our society, body politic, and economy. My solutions are workable decentralist face-to-face democratic alternatives to the "business as usual" basing of our economy on the industries of death. They should be aired in this "public" forum.
My platform:
• Divest of the War Industry [for example: No F-35s, No Drone Assassins].
End the export of military weapons systems.
• Investigate and prosecute those who have lied us into war and the corporations that have co-opted the peaceful economic development of our communities (e.g. Lockheed Martin).
• Invest In Community Self Reliance, directly to communities with the full participation of affected communities in the decision process.
• Promote Mutual Aid Economics (e.g. Community Supported: Agriculture, Manufacturing, Transportation, Energy Generation and Distribution, Shelter, Health Care, the Arts, “Food Not Bombs” etc.).
• Teach Active Nonviolence (In our schools in lieu of ROTC).
• Promote democratic locally administered community based nonviolent action committees as a guarantor of the above.
