The US signed a treaty banning bioweapon research in 1972. A US law stipulating life imprisonment for bioweapon researchers and their enablers was unanimously approved and signed in 1989. Yet today, there are 13,000 full-time researchers engineering pathogens to be more deadly and more infectious to humans.
Researchers in the US and China have been modifying bat coronaviruses to make them infect humans at least since 2005. There is substantial genetic evidence that COVID-19 was a laboratory-created chimera. There is testimony and circumstantial evidence that Lyme disease originated in the US bioweapon laboratory on Plum Island, offshore from Lyme, CT.
It is clear that bioweapon research poses an unacceptable risk to humanity. It is already illegal. We call upon you to have the courage to enforce the law.
Why is this important?
