Stop selling mortgage backed securities bundled up by Freddie and Fannie to banks and their speculator friends. Sell it to the homeowners and make it part on the monthly housing payment. This will keep mortgage rates low and give homeowners another Social Security type of retirement device. Everybody wins except the banks and the speculators that caused the housing and economic meltdown of 2008.
Why is this important?
No more bad behavior by banks and speculators in the housing industry, a too big too fail sector of the national economy.
