TikTok: Keep Palestine Alive! Do Not Censor Supporters of Palestine.
Petition Text
We petition TikTok US and UAE investors to uplift the voices for Palestine on the new US TikTok spin-off, set to launch Thursday, January 22, 2026.
The US $14 billion consortium must not order employees or use AI to ban, gag or hide the posts of its Palestine supporters. To do so would not only normalize a current genocide, but suppress user speech to promote indoctrination for the State of Israel and its policies of ethnic cleansing and apartheid.
We appreciate that US TikTok users 17-1 favor Palestine over Israel, according to Northeastern University research. Pro-Palestine TikTok posts have educated our youth and helped shift public opinion to majority support for Palestinians suffering under Israel’s occupation. This shift occurred despite the fact that TikTok, in a disturbing development several months ago, hired a former IDF instructor to “monitor content.’
We understand TikTok’s US spin-off will be controlled by a consortium involving Oracle, US and UAE investors and ByteDance employees and founders. Oracle Chair of the Board Larry Ellison donated over $26 million to the Israeli military, and reportedly offered Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu a seat on Oracle’s Board of Directors in 2021 when the two vacationed on Ellison’s private Hawaiian island of Lanai. The same year in Jerusalem, Oracle built a $319 million underground data bunker–hardened in case of attack– to provide Netanyahu and the Israeli military with cloud services for intelligence on Palestinians and integration of information from drones and satellites for the battlefield.
Should Ellison push the new spin-off to hide reports from or about Israel’s crimes in Palestine, content creators will either flood the platform with coded words or flee the platform altogether to send ad revenue plummeting. Such a scenario could well lead to a hostile take-over amid louder demands on Congress to outlaw billionaire media consolidation.
TikTok’s 170-million US users, its employees and the global peace community deserve a platform free from pro-Israel censorship.

Why is this important?
TikTokers Rock for Palestine
TikTokers in the United States favor Palestine vs. Israel posts 17-to-1 on TikTok, according to NorthEastern University research conducted from 2023-2025 . TikTok posts of orphaned Gaza amputees wandering amid apartments-turned-to rubble make Israel a tough sell to Gen-Z and younger millennials scrolling the app to witness Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Palestine in between ads for panda drums and shimmering lipsticks.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, facing an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Gaza’s mass starvation, openly acknowledges the importance of controlling the narrative on social media. “Weapons change over time... the most important ones are on social media, “ Netanyahu said during a September, 2025, huddle with US social media influencers who might be willing to promote Israel’s image for $7,000 a post. During the meeting, Netanyahu identified TikTok as the number one influencer of global public opinion of Israel.
In June, 2025, the Pew Research Center, noting a dramatic shift in public opinion, found that 60% of those surveyed in 24 countries did not favor Israel over Palestine; in the US, Israel’s biggest weapons supplier, 53% expressed a “somewhat or very unfavorable opinion of Israel,” with 69% of Democrats and 27% of Republicans turning thumbs down on Israel. In what should be a wake up call to Israel shills in the White House and Congress, Pew spotlights younger Republicans under 50, who are now about as “likely to have a negative view of Israel as a positive one.”
